What we keep about you: almost nothing.

This is an English translation for convenience; the French version is the legally binding one.
Abrège Bot listens to private conversations. You can't do this job without a strict rule, so here it is: the content of your voice notes is never stored. Not "anonymised", not "kept securely". Never stored.
The principle: zero retention
When you forward a voice note, the audio is downloaded, transcribed, summarized, and the summary is sent back to you on WhatsApp. That data only lives for the length of the processing — a few seconds, in memory. Then it's gone:
- the audio isn't kept after processing;
- the transcript is never written to a database;
- the summary goes to you and is archived nowhere;
- no content appears in our technical logs.
This isn't a clause we could forget to apply: our database has no column to store a voice note's content. The architecture makes retention impossible, not just forbidden.
What we actually store
To run the service, we keep a minimum of metadata:
- a cryptographic fingerprint of your number (a salted, irreversible hash): your number is never stored in clear;
- your plan (trial or Premium) and your counters: free voice notes used (5 in total) and monthly Premium usage;
- technical processing statuses (success, failure, error code, timestamp);
- if you subscribe: a customer id at our payment provider, which contains neither your number nor your card.
Who's involved in processing
We don't do everything ourselves. Specialized technical providers step in, and each gets only what's strictly needed:
- WhatsApp (Meta) routes your messages, like any WhatsApp conversation;
- a transcription provider receives the audio, to turn it into text;
- an AI model provider receives the transcript, to produce the summary;
- a payment provider handles the subscription — it never sees your WhatsApp number.
The audio and its transcript only pass through these providers: we request their deletion as soon as your summary is produced, or it happens automatically within the timeframes set by our GDPR-compliant data-processing agreements. The app runs on a French host, with data in the European Union. This site is served by Cloudflare. The identity of each provider is available on request at contact@abregebot.com.
This website
No cookies, no ad trackers, no forms. Audience measurement (Cloudflare Web Analytics) works without a cookie or an individual identifier — which is exactly why there's no banner to accept.
Your rights
The data controller is NUMEROGEEK (14 rue Gounod, 59320 Sequedin, France). Under the GDPR, you can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure and objection by writing to contact@abregebot.com.
The simplest option is the "stop" command: send it to the bot and it stops replying to you. Since the content of your voice notes is never kept, erasure covers the metadata listed above. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr), the French data-protection authority, if you feel your rights aren't respected.
One piece of advice, still
The bot tells you from the first message: don't send it sensitive content (health, banking data, trade secrets). Zero storage limits the risk, but the best-protected data is still the data you don't send.
